How long does a DraftKings withdrawal take?
In Alberta and Ontario, withdrawal times are within five (5) business days. Your method also has its own timing, shown in the comparison below. Processing a request and receiving the money are separate stages: processed does not mean the funds have already arrived.
Cheque requests have a separate processing rule: they are processed within ten (10) business days and sent by mail. Keep that processing period distinct from the Cheque method time of 5-7 Business days; neither should be treated as an immediate payment.
Requests are handled in the order received. DraftKings cannot expedite them, so contacting support cannot move a request ahead in the queue.
Which withdrawal method should I use?
You can withdraw using PayPal, Cheque, Debit and Credit Cards or Interac, subject to the conditions for each method. Compare the amount you want to withdraw with the limits before selecting a method.
| Method | Minimum | Maximum | Method time | Conditions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PayPal | C$1 | C$60,000 | 3-5 Days | An initial deposit using the method is required. |
| Cheque | C$15 | C$50,000 | 5-7 Business days | Sent to your verified account name and address, not a P.O. box. |
| Debit and Credit Cards | C$1 | C$25,000 | <24 hrs | An initial deposit using the method is required. |
| Interac | C$1 | C$10,000 | 1-3 days | A prior C$5+ Interac deposit is required. |
Every withdrawal method requires an initial deposit before you can request a withdrawal using it. A method that accepts deposits may still be unavailable for withdrawals. If you need to complete that first step, see how to deposit with DraftKings in Canada.
Accepting an Interac withdrawal
After requesting an Interac withdrawal, look for an external email from Interac/PayDirect and accept it promptly so the withdrawal can be processed. If you do not accept the funds after 7 business days, they return to your DraftKings wallet.
Receiving a cheque
Cheques equal to or over C$100 travel via FedEx; those less than C$100 go via Canada Post. Once a cheque has been processed and mailed, you receive a tracking number by email if the amount is greater than C$100.
What must be in place before you withdraw?
You must be able to validate your identity and account. DraftKings will not release funds if you cannot complete that validation.
In Ontario, identity verification is required when you register and can be required again afterwards. You may be asked for copies of identity documents and proofs of address. Identity verification checks that you are the person associated with the account.
- For a first withdrawal to a newly registered method, you must pass two-factor authentication (2FA) through your registered email address.
- The bank account used for withdrawals must be in your name. Business banking accounts cannot be used for deposits or withdrawals.
- DraftKings reserves the right to return withdrawals to the original payment source used for the deposit.
- Promotional deposits, credits and other bonuses cannot be withdrawn until you meet the relevant promotion terms.
- A withdrawal may be cancelled because of limited gameplay under the Terms of Use.
What does a processed withdrawal mean?
Processed means the request has reached that stage, but the time until you receive the money still depends on your withdrawal method.
| Account status | Meaning | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| processed | Receipt timing depends on the method you selected. | Check the method time above rather than treating this status as confirmation that the money has arrived. |
How can you contact support about a withdrawal?
Support is available through Chatbot, X (formerly known as Twitter), mail and e-mail, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For the next step with a withdrawal problem, use the guide to contacting DraftKings support.
How do limits and breaks affect account access?
In Alberta, deposit limits control how much you can deposit daily, weekly or monthly; cool off periods and self-exclusion restrict account access.
During either a cool off period or self-exclusion, you cannot log in, deposit, place sports wagers or play casino games. During a cool off period, existing entries and wagers remain live, but you cannot change them. Neither period can be shortened once set.
Self-exclusion also stops direct marketing from DraftKings and applies everywhere once you self-exclude in one location. The duration options shown when setting either kind of break depend on your jurisdiction.

Frequently asked questions
Does DraftKings payout immediately?
Do not expect an immediate payout: timing depends on your method. Debit and Credit Cards have a method time of <24 hrs, which is not a promise of instant receipt.
Why is DraftKings taking so long to pay out?
Timing can depend on the method, identity and account validation, or an Interac acceptance step. Requests are processed in order and cannot be expedited.
Where is my DraftKings withdrawal?
A processed status does not mean the money has reached you; receipt still depends on your selected method. For Interac, check for the Interac/PayDirect email that you need to accept.
How do CAD withdrawals differ from deposits?
Players in Alberta and Ontario hold their balance in CAD, and withdrawals use your home currency regardless of your physical location. PayPal deposits process immediately, whereas PayPal withdrawals have a method time of 3-5 Days.
Does my deposit source or account name control where the money goes?
DraftKings may return funds to the original deposit source, and any bank account used for a withdrawal must be in your name. Cheques must go to the verified name and address on your account.
Can I withdraw CAD held in another provincial wallet?
Yes, you can withdraw eligible CAD funds regardless of which provincial wallet holds them. Deposits go into the wallet for the province where you deposit and can only be played there; funds cannot be transferred between provincial wallets.
